\nIt helps get me up for my daily routine.
\nI\u2019m not really fit to see or be seen
\nTill I\u2019ve had a hit from the coffee machine.<\/p>\n
\tI churned out, one morning, by seven fifteen,
\n\tOn eight cups of coffee, the verses you\u2019re seeing.<\/p>\n
And throughout the day, why I drink it then too
\nFor all of the crises it helps float me through.
\nAnd when I\u2019ve more work than one person can do,
\nI\u2019ll drink it fresh-brewed or as thick as old glue.<\/p>\n
\tYou may think it debased, or a tad libertine;
\n\tBut let me indulge in my vice of caffeine.<\/p>\n
I\u2019ve tried to swear off but I keep coming back.
\nJust when I feel cured then I have an attack.
\nI know that you think that it\u2019s courage I lack,
\nBut I say it\u2019s coffee, please, I take it black.<\/p>\n
\tIt makes me alert while it makes me serene,
\n\tSo make me a cup from that coffee machine.<\/p>\n
While coffee\u2019s the niftiest sin that I\u2019ve seen,
\nAs vices go, verses are almost as keen.
\nBut this one must end \u2019cause\u2014you know what I mean:
\nIt\u2019s just about time for my klatsch to convene.<\/p>\n
\tSo grind up the berries, fill up the tureen,
