Is it free?

No, but it’s dirt cheap
The current issue of PragPub will cost you a couple of bucks. For all this.
Wasn’t it free once?
Yes, but giving it away proved unsustainable. We decided to commit to this publication for the long haul, and that meant coming up with a revenue stream.
What if I want home delivery?
Just tell us what you want. We will be rolling out more subscription and delivery models, but for now you can download the current issue here for two bucks or subscribe for about twenty.

Any free samples?

Just four years’ worth
You can download back issues of PragPub in pdf or .mobi for your Kindle or .epub for other mobile devices here. Ad-free. DRM-free. Free. Check us out. If you like what you see, come back and get the latest issue.
But what have you done lately?
You’re a tough negotiator. OK, here are some freebies, including an introduction to the elixir language by Dave Thomas.
How about volume pricing?
PragPub is DRM-free, but if you want to get it for your user group or classroom, it would be nice if you’d pay a little more. Check the store for pricing.

Who are you guys?

We’re The Prose Garden
We produce and distribute PragPub. We’ve been doing this kind of thing for a long time. This is not our first magazine.
No, who are you really?
Michael Swaine and Nancy Groth.
So you’re not Pragmatic Bookshelf?
No, but we work closely with them. Mike developed PragPub for the Pragmatic Bookshelf and we still produce it in conjunction with them. The Pragmatic Bookshelf, of course, is the publisher of the best books for programmers being produced today. You should check out their titles.
